Tornadoes come in various types based on their strength and the damage they inflict. The widely accepted system for classifying tornadoes is the Enhanced Fujita Scale (EF-Scale). This scale rates tornadoes on a scale from EF0 to EF5, considering estimated wind speeds and resulting destruction. Let's explore the different categories of tornadoes:

1. EF0 Tornado: These tornadoes have wind speeds ranging from 65 to 85 mph (105-137 km/h). They typically cause minor damage, such as broken branches, slight roof damage, and chimney issues.

2. EF1 Tornado: EF1 tornadoes feature wind speeds between 86 and 110 mph (138-177 km/h). They can result in moderate damage, including roof damage, shattered windows, and mobile homes being overturned.

3. EF2 Tornado: With wind speeds ranging from 111 to 135 mph (178-217 km/h), EF2 tornadoes bring considerable destruction. They can demolish mobile homes, cause significant damage to roofs and outer walls of well-built houses, and uproot trees.

4. EF3 Tornado: EF3 tornadoes have wind speeds between 136 and 165 mph (218-266 km/h). They cause severe damage, including the destruction of well-constructed homes, uprooting of large trees, and the overturning of vehicles.

5. EF4 Tornado: These tornadoes have wind speeds between 166 and 200 mph (267-322 km/h). EF4 tornadoes bring devastating damage, including the collapse of sturdy houses, debarking of trees, and the displacement of vehicles.

6. EF5 Tornado: EF5 tornadoes are the most intense and destructive. With wind speeds exceeding 200 mph (322 km/h), they can level well-built houses, strip bark off trees, and leave behind catastrophic devastation.

Keep in mind that tornadoes can vary in size, duration, and intensity within each category. While the EF-Scale is widely used in the United States, other countries may employ different scales to describe tornadoes.
